FAQ

Whilst it will depend on the model and age of the iPhone being used, our testing has found a single 5,000mAh power bank to be sufficient for a 6/8 hour race, with three being essential for a 24 hour race, swapping and recharging as required (the discharge rate is usually greater than the charge rate). These can be purchased from $10-20 online and at most department stores.

Something we found useful during testing was connecting the charging cables of the trike’s front and rear lights to the USB power bank in addition to the phone, via a USB hub. This meant our lights were always fully charged and we only had to swap one battery during pit stops at Murray Bridge.

To mount the iPhone running RaceTIME, we strongly recommend using a Quad Lock®  Handlebar/Stem or Out Front Mount with the associated iPhone case. The combination of quality, safety and usability that this mount offers is unrivalled.

RaceTIME is designed to each use less than 5MB per hour and is only sending/receiving small packages of information. Other processes on your iPhone may use additional data. Be sure to turn off other apps in the Mobile section of Settings.

Most major carriers offer $10/$20 prepaid SIM options which last several weeks, however repurchasing every race can get tedious and expensive.

We recommend considering an option such as ALDImobile’s $15 Pay As You Go, 365 day option. This should last you a whole season if only used for RaceHUB/TIME.

Each trike requires an iPhone 5s or newer running iOS 12 or newer to run RaceTIME. The same requirements apply for running RaceHUB on iPhone. The Mac version of RaceHUB requires macOS Sierra or newer.

Yes! RaceHUB will work at any and all of the Pedal Prix races around Australia. In fact, it could work for just about any event which involves doing laps of a circuit.

If you compete in Pedal Prix events run by organisations other than the AIPP, we’d love to speak to you.

The RaceTIME app running in the trike is just as accurate a Garmin or similar cycling computer, processing velocity with an error as small as ±0.01km/h. Several of the athletes who tested this app compete in national and international cycling races, and had no issues with the accuracy of RaceTIME.

We have many new and exciting features planned, a number of which are already well into development and testing. If you want to find out about what our feature roadmap looks like, feel free to get in touch with us.

None of these projects are currently in development. Depending on user interest, we may explore creating a version of RaceHUB that can be accessed from any device using an internet browser.

If you have forgotten your team manager password, contact us and we will allow you to change it. If you have forgotten a password for one of your teams, you can change the password from your Team Manager account.
